UBAR 3 about 90% done. All it needs is a stock and a rear sight.

I’m here to stay after my personal ban due to the guy that got Fosscad banned. I would love to see the community grow in here. It would be nice if we could change the format inside here to reflect more of a reddit style. I believe that’s why some are not using this forum. I’m not too savvy on what we would need to do, however I’m sure there are some guys here that are.

Nothing special, but it cycles perfectly and eats through ammo. If ammo wasn't so expensive, I'd shoot it more. I have another BCA upper, a 5.56, that is a blast to play with as well.

Lower is printed in Elegoo PAHT-CF. I'll reprint in PPA-CF if it ever decides to crack.

First foray into 2A3D. Nothing crazy, but I'm very happy with it.

Didn't really love the options for common free foregrip STLs, so I decided to design my own!

It's a 20° oval with an integrated frontstop, designed for M-LOK rails. Did a jazzy 90s "Memphis" themed grip pattern that I think turned out excellent, neat looking while providing good grip. It's printed thick and hot with ABS.

I can pistol-grip the whole thing, modified C clamp it so my thumb still hits the flashlight button, or wrap my index finger around the front stop.

Overall I'm stoked with how it came out. Much better for me than either the classic pineapple vertical, or the Magpul style AFGs.

I'll get more pics in the comments.

Reviving the MKR (forum.guncadindex.com)
submitted 5 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago) by wildecoupe to c/builds

After scouring the sea for Ruger MK models, I've blended a few together. NotaGuntuber had a MKIV step that I flat-topped, added the barrel plug from DB's MKCarbon jig and the MarkR by Pixel_Smoke/Insertmeow barrel shroud. Just got the barrel put together today. Function test hopefully this week if it's not too frozen outside. Once I get this fine-tuned, I'll drop the step, SolidWorks and STLs on the sea.

EDIT: I forgot to add that the grip frame is a MKIV 22/45 that I picked up from Wirthwein. Will be modeling that using the Kilo v2 version as the base.

So for this particular build, I have the Ruger 22/45 frame, Ruger bolt and printed pull ring, printed receiver, barrel plug, carbon fiber tube and the 22lr barrel liner inside that tube, stock Ruger magazine and printed 22/45 base plate.

Range day with BLC compacts. (forum.guncadindex.com)
submitted 1 week ago by Bushworked711 to c/builds

Went out to the range and knew that I probably wouldn't have much time, so I brought a new 10/22 build to test, my box of compact DIY builds. My brother and I had a blast shooting these dinky little guns. We burned through a couple hundred rounds in the 10/22 in no time, but a couple hundred rounds of 22 through these single shots kept us busy for about 2 hours.

Just talking crap and shooting 20-40 feet.

They ones with 4-4.5" barrels are pretty darn accurate for what they are.

All of the builds pictured have at least a couple hundred rounds on them. They all will run whatever 22lr you put in them safely, even stingers.

These simple DIY builds are all about fundamentals. Yeah, they are pretty much range toys. But it is satisfying to build these things and get them to function perfectly and be pretty long lasting.

First print after calibration using Siraya Tech PET-GF in FDE. Print came out nice and is surprisingly strong at only 25% gyroid infill. I used 8 walls with 6 top/bottom layers. Printed at 300C nozzle with 80C bed on a Bambu P1S using a Darkmoon CFX build plate and printing from a 60C dryer. 0.4mm nozzle at 0.16mm layer height. One nice benefit to this filament is it comes completely dry and ready to print with Siraya Tech even warning not to dry it unless its needed at the filament has a low moisture absorption rate.

Range Day with the Urutau (forum.guncadindex.com)
submitted 1 month ago by Kopsis to c/builds

My Urutau was a big hit at the range today. ROs and shooters alike were all very interested in the build and how it performed. I've been slowly working to get the firing pin length dialed in and I think I'm finally getting close. I didn't run a lot of rounds, but it ran the two 20-round factory CZ mags and the two 30-round ETS mags I brought without a single failure. Some slow-fire, some doubles, some Bill-drills. I even ran the last 30 rounds with a 3D printed can (OKB-69 Khrizantzema). Note that this is with a remixed lower receiver since the ETS mags do not properly fit the lower in the official release. If I have another successful range session with this lower, I'll release it.

This is in Overture PLA Pro using 0.15mm layer height with a 0.1 fuzzy texture and 99% infill. It's 300BLKFDE's PA6-CF settings with a PLA Pro profile and modified support settings.

17hr print time, yes PLA can be printed much faster, but the increase in quality is worth it in my opinion.

Correction: It's the BoomTube 22 - https://odysee.com/@the_fly1ng_v1k1ng:9/BoomTube-22:5

Baby Barrett 22LR by Kaewon (forum.guncadindex.com)
submitted 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) by Print_a_22 to c/builds

The Baby Barrett is a build that deserves a spot in everyone's safe.

3/5 scale from the real deal, chambered in 22LR, and includes options for both M82(pictured) and M107. This is a "99% printable" build, meaning everythings printed short of the nuts, bolts, springs, fire control group, and barrel/liner. You can use a barrel liner in 3 different lengths, or an RS22 barrel, 10-22 barrel, or Mossberg 702 barrel.

Like the other builds by Kaewon, you can expect an easy to print, easy to assemble, and true to form 22LR clone of one of the famous firearms that got us all into guns.

Make some room in your safe, and start printing one today. More info here and kits can be found here.

It should be obvious but I was going for a halo look. I originally chose the g19 for my first Glock because I loved how the Paragon9 looked. I finally broke down and built one... a year late.
