I didn't know I needed to build another DB, but here we are.

Nicely done.

Whoops. Thought I had set it public. Sorted!

They were more than happy to get me to sign up so they could transfer ownership of the model and "I also set up your partner account for sponsorship, so you'll earn money for any downloads your project receives. Let me know if you have any other questions!"

So yeah, looks like they're scraping and reposting to get people to sign up and post there or some shit.

I should also note, even after they transfer you your own design, there's no way to edit or delete the posting.

Yeah, when it first came out, I waited a couple months before it came back in stock. It may show that 3d2a is more popular than it used to be, and companies popping up aimed entirely at that market segment proves it. Ultimately it's still going to be a niche low-volume product, so they'll do it in smaller batches and get back to regular bread and butter production. Happy to see them doing it at all.

I sent them an email, but not getting my hopes up.

And it looks like someone is claiming my name there...

Interesting, they have one of mine listed, and someone did way better screenshots than I did for it. AI generated maybe? It has more views there than it does on Odysee.

I haven't seen any others offered in 5.7. The MPA upper is pretty decent, no complaints. You do have to trim a little bit out of the rear section for FCG clearance, but it's not bad at all.

Looks tight!

It's definitely not .22 soft, but it's not bad at all. Somewhat comparable to a P90/PS90 if you've ever shot one of those. They're both direct blowback. A little snappy just due to the speed and bore height over grip, but not punchy and doesn't hit hard at all.

I really like the 5.7x28 round in general. I wanted to try it out on the cheap so that was why I built the DB. Liked it there so I picked up an M&P 5.7, loved that, then I went down the P90 rabbit hole and loving it there.

Yeah it's a bit quirky. I'm more used to running old style forums/BBS type stuff. When I petitioned for c/fosscad ownership on "main" Lemmy(1), I saw your federated post on my old account but not my fosscad account. Took me a minute or three to realize that I had somehow deselected English (or just never selected it?), and either the Lemmy theme I'm using or my spam/cosmetic filters don't show which languages I have selected. Pretty sure I have it unfucked now at any rate.

  1. Original mod inactive for ~3yrs, last post ~1yr old, so by all metrics abandoned.

Do it. Even when you've moved on to other projects and don't take it out as much, it looks badass sitting in the safe.

DB Alloy 5.7, MPA upper, SCS for the plates, random obnoxious brake that was in the bin, $25 river store dot, wifes fingernail polish to color code the safe/fire indicator dimples, and motorcycle engine anti-walk.

Seemed like having a specific place to post projects might be a good idea:

https://forum.guncadindex.com/c/filedrop@forum.guncadindex.com

Figured it would help keep things from getting lost in general conversation. If it's out of place feel free to do whatever with it.

Will the index be scraping these forums as well, or still just picking them up from Odysee?

A jig to clamp around your DB Alloy so you can re-drill the holes for FCG after filling them. Mine got a bit wallowed out and loose, and instead of printing a whole new lower I made this jig.

Tested on the 5.7, should fit others?

Get it here: https://odysee.com/@sado:9/DBAlloyFCGDrillJig:d

Didn't see a place for posting active projects, so I made one. Feel free to rename/remove/whatever if it's out of place.
