I used to be able to say "Google doesn't say anything" or "nothing is on Google it shows you other places where information is".

Now thats out the fucking window and I'm furious. Humanity is about to get vastly fucking dumber.

To be frank, PEEK is far outside the capability of the vast majority of people. You would have to spend a ton of money building a machine for the explicit task of printing PEEK at extremely high temperatures, over 500°c, and PEEK filament is hideously expensive. Hundreds of dollars per roll.

You you can. You just need a printer that can print PEEK. I requires much higher temperatures than a hobby grade home printer.

PEEK machines are typically industrial grade machines that cost around $200,000 new. You can find used older models around $20,000.

You can do anything you set your mind to

The question is can you print peak with your current machine

For how much peek is per gram, it'd probably be way cheaper and easier to actually buy the real gun

You can print one in chocolate, Google says it's the tastiest material.

Gotta be dark chocolate though. The milk chocolate doesn't have the same mouth feel.

Has anyone tried caramel? Do you think salting it would help or hurt layer adhesion?

Been using it to stick the first layer to the bed, really helps keep the print from warping.

Probably. PEEK is pretty impressive stuff. Easy or cheap? No.

[–] JustHere4TheFunz@fosscad.io 1 points 1 month ago

Too expensive for me.
