I wanted a gen 5 model to start with so that I could fill in most of the internals and then use the G100 boolean negative to subtract away what I need to make it compatible with the G100 fire control unit. All that its really going to do is make it look like a gen 5 glock externally and also gen 5 mag release. I guess its not that important because I've already found a 19x file that was gen 3 compatible and modified it to accept the g100 chassis. I was just hoping that there was a gen 5 replica model somewhere to start with so I could make one more true to an actual gen 5 frame. I haven't tried printing yet but I modified this model the past couple days. The biggest hiccup was recontouring the back strap because the G100 chassis is really deep in the trigger housing area because it holds the trigger housing and then also has more material under it for a mounting pin. This makes it dangerously thin in the backstrap around where the pin is. So I added about 1mm more material to the backstrap while trying to maintain the same hump and contour.

EDIT: Its not letting me upload the images so I'll try again later.

I just want to play around with designing my own that revolves around the G100 chassis I have. The nice thing about the G100 platform is that they have a downloadable boolean negative to make it easier to design around. I've been playing around with other designs but I'd like to start with the closest thing to an actual gen 5 frame.

Can anyone point me to where I can find an OEM Glock 19x frame? Not something modified for certain rails or to take gen 3 parts. I'm looking for a genuine OEM Glock 19X gen 5 stp file

Are there any good 3D 2A Facebook groups now that 2A Printing was removed? I used to follow that page to keep up with new designs and things. I learned a lot just from following it periodically so I'm trying to find a new active one to follow since I will likely see that more than I visit here.

I'm wanting to start experimenting with Glock frames from a multi material unit. I have the Qidi Plus4 with the Qidi box which acts similar to the more popular Bambu X1C with AMS. What print orientation works well if you have the ability to switch filaments for support interfaces so they come out super clean? Also, what works well for that interface material? I hear PETG is good for PLA+ prints but I also hear to beware of swapping to filaments of different temps in the same nozzle. What would be a good interface material for PET-CF or PPA-CF or PAHT-CF?
