I knew about the index but I've been lurking since the OG subreddit. The backup going down finally made me switch.
Idk I was pleading at a point
you are definitely putting in work trying to get people over here lol
Word got banned for it twice, on my 3rd Reddit acc and boutta start all over again, ain’t no rest when it comes to spreading tha signal
Preciate u dawg, I think I saw you responding to damn near every post for a minute there.
And get right back to that, I appreciate u 😤👊🏾 2 things I always felt 3d2a needed was a proper search engine and a proper place for us to talk
Finally created my account to the forum not even 2 mins ago... after seeing the fosscadtoo go down its only a matter of time for the others. I passed the word along to join here a bit but we'll see.
Dude that’s crazy I was woken up to all this and I was like why the hell was my feed empty till searching fosscadtoo.
i just noticed the fosscadtoo ban and 3d2a removed all posts. the signal needs to spread over here for sure.
I was looking at it right before I left work to come home and 10 minutes later it was banned. Glad to have found this place right before
Don't hold your breath. People are already trying again create new subs. Its just getting worse and people are too intimidated by lemmy. That, or they just refuse to stop using reddit.
what's so intimidating about lemmy? it's so cute
The fact that it's its own app. That plus resistance to change, from what I can tell.
Oh no! I have to use my desktop to sign up! Impossible! - average response to Lemmy.
It’s literally what Reddit should have been to avoid enshittification in the first place. It’s better in so many ways.
You'd think "not getting booted off the platform" and "we have a full backup of the old subreddit" would've been good enough reasons to tough it through a mildly-inconvenient setup process.
i didn't use desktop to sign up. also i signed up 3 times so far, because i picked instances that died later lol
I’m not intimidated, just can’t figure out how to get guncad on it…as well as the weird sign in that pulls up unrelated communities or whatever. If someone could do a walkthrough video on how to setup a lemmy app to connect…it would probably be helpful. I just use the website instead, as forums are a welcomed old friend for me.
/r/3D2A appears to be back up and acting normally, but we'll see if it survives the day.
I'm prayin' man
