As a person that doesn't own a gun is, is it often that you're taking the bolt carrier group out of a gun when you're not cleaning it? I would think you would just leave it in the gun and take it out when you're cleaning it.
Pretty common to have a standard AR-15 BCG and also carry a separate "Conversion" bolt that allows you to shoot 22lr rounds out of a 556/223 caliber rifle.
Oh I was thinking it was a .22 LR conversion not .223. That makes way more sense
