so I know it’s not a popular opinion but I don’t blame Reddit too much because they’re private owned the thing just like businesses can ban guns on their private property but if we start making rules that they have to allow stuff like that that just takes away other people‘s rightsto run their business how they see that but I don’t agree with it

FWIW - I don't disagree with you.

That said, banning a community without warning - for rules that were changing but not yet announced is uncool.

Personally, I'm dealing with the same de-platforming from eBay. They don't like gun parts very much, but their rules are frustratingly vague at times. Hard to sell. And the traffic on eBay is hard to give up.

Granted, it's their private business and therefore their decision.

The more annoying issue is that it's a public company in the case of Reddit, so their rule changes are more rooted in public opinion. Which is the larger issue imo.

yeah they just went out of nowhere they should’ve gave warning so the community could find somewhere else to go it’s not like they’re losing users they’re closing down in the community already and yeah it’s definitely getting harder to find stuff on eBay I wish I got into this earlier I’m 29 but i’m on disability so this actually makes it so I can own guns without breaking my bank and having to save up for a super long time because after rent there’s not much left
