Hello everyone, I once read a kind of "recipe," but haven't tried it myself yet. This recipe is more about reducing the burn rate of nitrocellulose by adding two components so that it can be used as smokeless powder for pistol ammunition. But as I mentioned, I haven't tried it myself. Use at your own risk! Here the "recipe":
"crude yet somewhat effective. its my first attempt, it works OK but is a little too dirty still since I added to much graphite. I will try again soon.
10 gram nitrocellulose powder ; 5ml ad blue/urea ; 0.5 gram graphite powder
The powder was first dissolved in acetone then the urea and graphite where added and mixed in, it was left to dry then powdered. if attempting then add waaayyy less graphite, maybe around 0.2 / 0.1 gram instead."
How does one make nitrocellulose into a powder?
